Israel and its supporters have it right for Israel - Israel first, second, and nth. Why can't America do likewise? Even if it means clashing with Israel? The misadventures of our "ally" in the Middle East are becoming hard to overcome with lame rhetoric at the diplomatic level, and may bring about and abrupt reversal of support after incumbents are not re-elected this Fall. However, I find it just a bit harder to agree that JFK won that particular round decisively, what with his unfortunate incident in Dallas! More power to the Palestinians if they get the courage to fight for real and quit throwing rocks. Fight like the Afghans and dont give up. He drew attention to himself with rude and disruptive behavior at work. His boss finally decided to investigate him for abuse of classified information just to have an excuse to fire him, since it is otherwise very difficult to fire federal employees. Had Pollard been a polite, helpful employee (a good spy) he would be still spying today. Pollard was no genius; if HE could get such a sensitive job we must assume many other Israel-first believers could get equally sensitive jobs. No doubt many have. We must assume our government has virtually NO secrets safe from Israel. We must assume our President and senior military officers are under the control of Israel, if not voluntarily then by blackmail and extortion. We must assume our country is under Israeli nuclear extortion. We must assume Israel could attack US territory or military targets without consequences. Assume for a moment these controversial conclusions are true; doesn't our present situation make more sense? Consider President Obama's promise to leave Iraq. That promise was not just BROKEN, like most campaign promises, but FORGOTTEN. His friends did not complain nor did his enemies gloat. The promise just never happened. It went down George Orwell's Memory Hole. What can we do? First, do not panic. We have escaped an obvious coup d'etat or nuclear attack. Remember, someone who THREATENS you does not really want to carry out the threat; otherwise he would have done so already. He wants you to surrender without a fight. Quiz: who was the last US President to stand up to Israel and win? Jonathan Pollard was probably the least competent spy in history.
